Vinn Martà was voted by the members and visitors of Universe Spirit as our July/August Dance Artist of the month.
Vinn Martà is the creator of Soul Motion™ and co-founder of Body Moves of Portland, a long established and innovative movement arts studio in Portland, OR. An award winning performer and choreographer, Vinn has been teaching movement for over 25 years. He is a Chaplain at the Living Enrichment Center and is completing his studies to be a Prayer Practitioner and Spiritual Counselor. Since 1976, Vinn has been assisting individuals in realizing their potential as creative movers and dance artists. Vinn leads workshops and seminars internationally, teaching Soul Motion, his design for experiencing movement as meditation.
Soul Motionâ„¢ is a mystical movement ministry that accesses, expresses and embodies our authentic essence. In Soul Motionâ„¢, participants are shown ways to explore and discover their interior worlds of image, emotion, and Spirit during creative expression. They are encouraged to relax into the mystery and magic of creativity while experiencing reverence in their bodies.
Soul Motionâ„¢ opens the portals of unity with Spirit and melds the sacred with the mundane. The language of the dance becomes a Divine dialogue between the individual and the Creative Spirit.
This connection is created through watchful guidance and coaching during self-directed movement and creative arts expression using a diversity of music, sound and rhythm.
