We, as planetary citizens of the universe and Evolutioneers stand at a critical moment in the history of the universe and of this planet. This is a time when humanity must choose its future. As this planet becomes increasingly inter-dependent, the future at once holds great peril and great promise. To move forward we must recognize that in the midst of a magnificent diversity of cultures and life forms we are one human, planetary and universe family with a common destiny. We must join together to bring forth a sustainable planetary society founded on the testable principles of the universe's progressive evolution and respect for nature, universal human rights, economic justice, universal human responsibilities and a culture of peace. Towards this end, it is imperative that we, the people of the universe and this planet Earth, declare our responsibility to one another, to the greater universe community of life, and to the future generations who will inhabit both the planet and beyond it into the Universe. To this end, we present a new Universe Charter to help map out the path that we must all walk together.
We simply cannot expect to solve today's complex global challenges particularly radical planetary temperature increase from a local, national or global perspective alone. We must approach today's global challenges from a far wider perspective, one which encompasses the evolutionary universe in its entirety and the time-proven lessons that we can learn from its 13.7 billion years of progressive evolutionary success. It is as Albert Einstein said: 'You cannot solve a problem from the same consciousness that created it. You must learn to see the world anew.'
